1. The Frame 🖼️

You can skip to stage 2 if you have purchased the frame or full kit.

There are 3 main parts to the model.

  1. The pyramid frame

  2. The top cover

  3. Acrylic Stencil

You will want to print all three pieces, or if you're getting the acrylic cut by a supplier the acrylic square inserts have a common size of;

Square Base:

X: 164.80mm

Y: 164.80mm

Z: 3mm

Triangle Side:

X: 165.70mm

Y: 168.20mm

Z: 3mm

Printer settings:

We have provided the print file which has the tree supports added already. But if you know your printers capability you can also use the STL files to tweak as necessary. We printed our model at a 0.2mm layer height with a 15% infill.

Things to Note:

If you would like to use custom or alternative LEDs you may need to change the dimensions of the frame.

If you'd like to design your own structure in CAD I would recommend starting by modelling your acrylic and working from there.

Because we will be soldering the LED strings whilst on the frame, I suggest using a higher temperature plastic such as PETG, the mirrors are quite heavy if you use glass so the extra strength is also a bonus.
