We sourced the majority of our parts from reputable buyers on Amazon. However, you could find parts cheaper on AliExpress if you're willing to wait for delivery. The parts list below is a guide and variations such as LEDs, Acrylic could be made. For example, we used 2 way mirror acrylic for a better effect. This costs significantly more than just buying 3mm Clear Acrylic with a mirrored film.

PARTS LIST:

  1. Black PLA Filament

    1. You will use about 300g of filament for the model. For our model we used Bambu Lab Basic PLA. Because we will be soldering the LED strings whilst on the frame, I suggest using a higher temperature plastic such as PETG, the mirrors are quite heavy if you use glass so the extra strength is also a bonus. I chose to use black PLA filament. But this is up to you.

  2. 2x LED Strip

    1. For the best effect you will want to use 144 LEDs per metre.

  3. 6x 3mm 2 Way Mirrored Acrylic

    1. You could use 3mm Clear Acrylic with a Mirrored Film. But the effect isn't quite as good. In the UK we have a number of suppliers. Cutmy / Cutplasticsheeting. However I recommend shopping around to find a good deal.

  4. 20 AWG Single Core Wire

    1. We bought a kit of 6 different colours. But for the build I only used Black. To hide the wiring a little better inside.

  5. 1x LED Controller

    1. We use a SP105E Magic Controller. But you can tweak the project slightly to use an Arduino, or WLED controller.
